China Translation Corporation

China Translation Corporation (CTC) is the biggest state-owned enterprise of language services in China. Under the approval of Premier Zhou Enlai and the State Council of China, the company was established in March 1973, and now boasts hundreds of professionals with rich experiences in translation. It is also the one and only long-term language service provider for the United Nations (UN) in China.

For the last four decades, CTC has been providing outstanding language services, such as translation, interpreting and training, for UN agencies and other international organizations. Up to now, the company has translated billions of words and has dispatched for over one thousand personnel to provide comprehensive language services for UN organizations and agencies around the world.

Over the years, CTC has offered high-quality language services for a number of significant international events held in China, including Beijing 2008 Olympics, 2010 Shanghai World Expo, Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games, Shenzhen 2011 Universiade, 2014 APEC Summit in Beijing, 2014 Qingdao International Horticultural Exposition, Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games and the forthcoming Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympics in 2022.

Since 2013, CTC has completed the establishment of Global Tone Communication Technology Co., Ltd. (GTCOM), joint-stock reform, business restructuring and equity financing. At present, CTC has GTCOM, China AI Media & Entertainment Technology Co., Ltd. (AIME) and other subsidiaries, providing a range of services with a focus on UN translation service, language technology and service, fintech, research data analysis, smart city solution, and communication technology.
