On June 18, the 31st Beijing International Book Fair (BIBF) opened at the China National Convention Center in Beijing. Publishers affiliated with China Publishing Group Co., Ltd. (CPG) joined the event as a collective delegation. Focusing on promoting civilizational inheritance and development and advancing cultural exchange, this year’s BIBF seeks to preserve national memory and connect global wisdom through books and cultural traditions, fostering cross-cultural dialogue, industry collaboration, and global publishing opportunities shared by all.
At the BIBF, China Publishing Group Co., Ltd. set up an 815-square-metre exhibition zone with nine key areas showcasing CPG’s publications on diverse topics. These included (1) volume 1–3 of the Revitalization Library, (2) outstanding thematic publications, (3) key publications on fine traditional Chinese culture, (4) award-winning books, (5) key publications on promoting national defense education, (6) 58 excellent academic journals, (7) publications with innovative formats including pop-up, interactive, and die-cut books, (8) the latest achievements of the “Chinese Translations of World Academic Masterpieces Series”—the largest academic translation project in modern Chinese publishing history—featuring a thousand titles, and (9) publications on local chronicles and area studies. A total of 22 publishers under the Group, including People’s Literature Publishing House, The Commercial Press, Zhonghua Book Company, and Encyclopedia of China Publishing House, participated in the exhibition and were expected to host more than 50 exchange activities for publishers at the event.
