Wei Liqun is a distinguished scholar with extensive experience in government policy research. He initiated the Applied Economics Group of the National Social Science Fund and currently serves as the Director of the Academic Committee of the China Society of Administrative Reform. Additionally, he is a member of the Central Advisory Committee of the Marxist Theory Research and Construction Project. Previously, he held leadership positions as Director of the Research Office of the State Council and Secretary of the Party Committee of the National Academy of Governance. He has participated in or led the drafting of numerous critical documents for the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, including major speeches by central government leaders. Wei Liqun has also led over 120 major projects on topics such as Deng Xiaoping's economic theory and President Xi Jinping's exposition of China’s path to modernization. He has published over 20 monographs, including China's Economic Development and Reform, and served as the chief editor for more than 130 books.
