Ge Fei
格非

Ge Fei, male, born in1964 as Liu Yong in Dantu, Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province.


In 2001, he joined the School of Humanities at Tsinghua University and currently serves as a tenured professor and doctoral supervisor in the Department of Chinese Language and Literature. He is also the director of the Center for Literary Writing and Research at Tsinghua University.


He has written several full-length novels such as the Jiangnan Trilogy, Wang Chunfeng (Spring Breeze); medium- and short-length novels including Mizhou (Lost Boat), Xiangyu (Encounter) and The Invisibility Cloak; as well as monographs such as Wenxue de Yaoyue (Invitation of Literature) and Xue Yin Luci (Snow Conceals the Herons). His medium-length novel The Invisibility Cloak received the 2015 Lu Xun Literary Prize and the Lao She Literary Award, and the full-length novel Jiangnan Trilogy won the 2016 Mao Dun Literature Prize.
