Yu Gengzhe is a professor at the School of History and Culture, Shaanxi Normal University. His research interests are history of ancient China and social history of medicine. He has published dozens of academic papers in journals such as Social Sciences in China, Historical Research, and Journal of Chinese Historical Studies, many of which have been reprinted by China Social Science Excellence and China University Academic Abstracts. He has won several provincial and ministerial academic awards, and was supported by Program for New Century Excellent Talents in University in2007. He has published A Tentative Study of Diseases and Medicine in the Tang Dynasty, Daily Life of People in Sui and Tang Dynasties, The Founding of the Tang Dynasty, and From Diseases to People - Re-exploration of Social History of Medicine in Ancient China.
