This book is a popular reading of classical poetry written for teenagers by Kang Zhen, a professor at Beijing Normal University. Professor Kang explains 36 ancient poems by analyzing from the smallest word and phrase imagery, literary and historical allusions, to poets' life and state of mind. He also writes a special "Message to Youth" to suggest the essence and key points of the poems, and creates 22 calligraphic works and paintings for these poems, which is well-coordinated and interesting to read.
