After a flurry of sand and rocks, all the animals in the forest heard a loud rumble. The rain had ceased, the ground remained intact, and the sky hadn’t collapsed. What was that noise? It was a whale swept into the desert by the tornado. This picture book creatively uses one of the Chinese intangible cultural heritages – blue and white porcelain painting – as the medium with the original manuscript being a blue and white porcelain plate painting fired at a high temperature of 1300°C. Through the unique combination of the colors of blue and white, the book expresses a poetic story, singing a song of praise to life and love.
