This book provides precise scientific information on pregnancy in a warm and humorous tone. It answers 50 frequently asked questions about pregnancy in a way that sets readers’ mind at ease. Filled with pictures and texts, the book is divided into four chapters: early pregnancy, second trimester, third trimester, and puerperium. Each Q&A consists of two parts: an illustrated short story and tips from Doctor Kui.
The illustrated short stories vividly restore the daily interaction between Doctor Kui and mothers-to-be at the Department of Obstetrics, answering frequently asked questions about pregnancy, dispelling some common misconceptions and rumors, and helping expectant mothers free themselves from anxiety.
Following every illustrated short story, there is a section called “Tips from Doctor Kui”, which, a few hundred words in length, provides more scientific information related to the story. It is well written, easy to read, and full of useful information.
Li Kui, author of the book, is a number of the post-1975 generation.
