Zhang Hong briefed the delegation on the Group’s development during the symposium. He noted that the Group remains committed to publishing premium titles, leveraging its core strengths in the humanities and social sciences, strengthening its general-interest publishing, refining its professional publishing, and creating quality cultural publications. Given Macao’s unique geographical advantages, he expressed the hope to further strengthen cooperation with the Macao publishing community and jointly enhance the international dissemination of Chinese culture.

Lok Po noted that the Macao publishing community has participated in the Beijing International Book Fair for multiple consecutive sessions, gaining firsthand insights into the development of the book publishing industry. This year’s Macao pavilion opened smoothly to great public interest, and the provincial pavilions were all vibrant with a lively atmosphere, making the Fair a resounding success. Through this national-level premier platform, the Macao publishing community is further elevating its cultural publishing brand, and the delegation found the visit truly inspiring.

Lam Fat Iam noted that the cultural industry has become a core driver for Macao’s appropriately diversified economic development. He expressed the hope that the China Publishing Group, as a central state-owned enterprise, would leverage its strengths to jointly promote the development of Macao’s publications in the mainland market, and support the Macao publishing industry in participating more extensively in major book fairs on the Chinese mainland, thereby fostering cultural exchanges between Macao and the Chinese mainland.
