Sino United Publishing (Holdings) Limited Visits China Publishing Group for Exchange

On June 18, Fu Weizhong, Chairman of Sino United Publishing (Holdings) Limited (SUP), led a delegation to China Publishing Group (CPG) for an exchange visit. CPG Chairman Wen Hongwu met with the delegation, joined by Mao Yuansheng, Group President, and Zang Yongqing, Vice President of China Publishing & Media Holdings Co., Ltd.. A symposium was held with the participation of SUP Chairman Fu Weizhong, President Li Jiping, Editor-in-Chief Zhao Dongxiao, and representatives from relevant units of China Publishing Group. The symposium was moderated by Zang Yongqing.

Zang Yongqing noted that China Publishing Group and Sino United Publishing share a common historical heritage and cultural bond, and have long maintained close cooperative ties in such areas as copyright trade, co-publishing, publication imports and exports, book fairs in the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong, art exhibitions, and talent exchange. He expressed the hope that both sides would explore new avenues in integrated publishing development, deepen mechanisms for the promotion and copyright exchange of key publications, and jointly enhance the international communication of Chinese culture.

Fu Weizhong extended his congratulations on the hosting of the Beijing International Book Fair and expressed gratitude to China Publishing Group for its thoughtful arrangements. He looked forward to both sides joining forces to create more quality publications in support of national strategies and the positioning of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and to jointly promote Chinese culture on the global stage. During the symposium, institutions under Sino United Publishing, including Chung Hwa Book Company (Hong Kong), Joint Publishing (Hong Kong), and Tsi Ku Chai, signed a series of cooperation agreements with relevant subsidiaries of China Publishing Group. The SUP delegation also visited the exhibitions “Chinese Publishing in the Perspective of Human Civilization,” the “Compiling History and Establishing Classics: Special Exhibition of Twenty-Four Histories Editions,” the history exhibition of People’s Literature Publishing House, and the Zhaohua Xishi Cultural and Creative Café. Officials from the Group’s Editorial Board Office, Publishing Department, Marketing Department, and International Department participated in the exchange and symposium.
