China Publishing Group Makes a Strong Presence at the 32nd Beijing International Book Fair

On June 17, 2026, the 32nd Beijing International Book Fair (hereinafter referred to as “BIBF”) officially opened at the China National Convention Center in Beijing. China Publishing Group Co., Ltd. organized a unified delegation of its publishing subsidiaries to participate in the fair. Group Chairman Wen Hongwu and President Mao Yuansheng briefed central leadership on the Group’s exhibition at the booth, joined by Group leaders Chen Yonggang, Zhang Hong, and Zang Yongqing. This year’s BIBF centered on the theme “Using Books as a Medium to Facilitate Communication and Dialogue, Leading to Cooperative Success for All Parties Involved,” featuring 90,000 copyright titles and 220,000 premium physical books on display, with over 1,000 online and offline cultural exchange events scheduled throughout the fair. The United Arab Emirates served as the Country of Honor for this edition.

At this year’s BIBF, the Group’s publishing subsidiaries are participating as a unified delegation, centering on the theme “Preserving Traditions, Inspiring Readers, Advancing Exchange, and Fostering Harmony.” The exhibition prominently features the latest premium publications that serve the national reading initiative and advance the development of a book-loving society, showcasing the substantial outcomes of high-quality development. The Group has set up an 810-square-meter exhibition zone displaying over 2,000 titles and cultural and creative products, showcasing to the international publishing community the latest progress in realizing the vision of “Reading China.” The “Theme Publishing and Major Projects” zone highlights the latest outcomes of key projects including the Revitalization Library, the third edition of the Encyclopedia of China, and the punctuated and annotated edition of the Twenty-Four Histories and the revision project of the Draft History of the Qing Dynasty. Also on display are classic works such as Interpretation of Xi Jinping’s Citations of Poetry, Stories of Xi Jinping and Poverty Alleviation in China, The Long March (Volumes I and II), Encyclopedia of the History of the Communist Party of China, and Records of the Red Army’s Long March: Original Documents, alongside thematic selections commemorating the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the 90th anniversary of the victory of the Red Army’s Long March, including Tianxia, How Is a Universal Civilization Possible: The CPC and the Chinese Civilizational Tradition, Crossing the Yangtze River to Advance South, The Hidden Struggle: A Scholar’s Cultural Resistance, and The Long March Trilogy (Comic Book Edition). The “Humanities, Social Sciences, Science, Technology, and Economy/Management” zone focuses on supporting the development of an independent knowledge system for Chinese philosophy and social sciences. Key new titles on display include the Modern Chinese Dictionary, Jin Xun Hui Zuan (Compendium of Exegetical Studies), China Through Others’ Eyes, 1912–1928, Hidden Moments: Emperor Kangxi’s Succession and Official Historians’ Fabrication, National Memory: The Epic Relocation of the Palace Museum Treasures, The Algorithm Question: Unlocking the Underlying Logic of the Digital World, Robot Humanities: Imaginations, Narratives, and Ethics of Robots, and Building an Independent Knowledge System in China. The “Literature, Arts, and Children’s Education” zone highlights the Group’s achievements in building a new popular literary and artistic culture. Key new titles on display include Salty Joke, Kunlun Pact, Landscapes, Paper That Lasts a Thousand Years, A History of Chinese Opera, as well as the Chinese Children’s Illustrated Encyclopedia (Collector’s Edition) and I Know the Answers to All the Questions.

Leveraging its premium publishing products, the Group has joined hands with its international partners to host approximately 50 China-foreign cultural exchange events during the BIBF, covering such areas as copyright trade, integrated publishing, reading promotion, and new book launches. These include the signing ceremony of the Dutch edition of the Stories of Xi Jinping and Poverty Alleviation in China and the strategic signing ceremony between the Commercial Press and the Italian group White Star Press; the “Flames of Oratory, Bridges of Words–Poet Jidi Majia in Dialogue with Overseas Sinologists” event hosted by People’s Literature Publishing House; the readers’ meeting for The Way of Bamboo: From Sanxingdui to Jinsha at Zhonghua Book Company; the launch of the Chinese and Italian editions of China-Italy Cultural Encyclopedia · Art by the Encyclopedia of China Publishing House; the launch of the English edition of Chinese Picture Books: Stories Colour Comic Strip Stories by China Fine Arts Publishing Group; the new book launch and traditional culture sharing session for The Book of Qin and Ritual Music by People’s Music Publishing House; the inaugural release of the Arabic, Russian, and Portuguese editions of China’s Road Choices in the Past 100 Years by SDX Joint Publishing Company; the international promotion event titled “A Millennium Mirror, A Dialogue of Civilizations” for the Chinese-English edition of Comprehensive Mirror to Aid in Government by Research Press; and the signing ceremony for the CTPH-KAKTOS International Editorial Department and the Greek-themed book sharing session by China Translation & Publishing House.

Precious original manuscripts from renowned literary masters are also on display in the Group’s exhibition zone.
