From March 10 to 12, 2026, the 63rd London Book Fair was held at Olympia London. China Publishing Group Co., Ltd. set up a dedicated stand and presented more than 500 copies of books for international markets, showcasing its publishing achievements in themed publications, traditional Chinese culture, academic works, literature, and children’s popular science books. During the fair, the Group held a series of events, including the Symposium on China and the World in the New Era and Book Launching Ceremony; the Inauguration of the China-UK International Editorial Office and Project Signing Ceremony; signing ceremonies for the English editions of Nehe Memories and The Bronze Sacred Tree; “City Living Room: A Global Exploration of Ideal Bookshop Space” Discussion (UK); the “Innovative Development of Chinese Bookshops” exhibition; the Exhibition and Sale of Chinese Classic Picture Stories and Cultural and Creative Products; the exhibition of Chinese picture stories and a calligraphy experience; and the symposium on literature featuring cultural heritage. The events attracted widespread attention.

Zhang Zehui, Director of the Import and Export Administration Bureau of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, and Li Liyan, Minister Counsellor at the Chinese Embassy in the UK, among other guests, attended the events. Zhang Hong, Vice President of China Publishing Group Co., Ltd., delivered a keynote speech. He noted that China Publishing Group had brought together 11 of its publishing and distribution subsidiaries and more than 20 publishing professionals from industry media to participate in the fair. The books on display included quality publications such as titles selected for the Chinese Books of the Year, combining academic value with broad appeal. The Group also organized a range of activities, including rights licensing, book launch, cultural and creative product displays, and interactive art activities. Together with its international partners, the Group is establishing a China-UK International Editorial Office, moving from rights trading towards content co-creation. Through international publishing exchanges and cooperation, the Group is contributing to the Global Civilization Initiative. Going forward, it will continue to publish high-quality works that reflect China’s development and convey Chinese wisdom, providing the international community with authoritative and diverse perspectives on China, showcasing the progress and innovative achievements of fine Chinese culture going global, and bringing fresh momentum to international publishing cooperation.
