The 18 participating editors came from 11 organizations within the Group, including scholar-editors in academic publishing and best-selling book editors specializing in the humanities and social sciences. During the program, they held in-depth discussions with senior representatives from UK universities, publishers, and relevant organizations, demonstrating the professionalism of China Publishing Group’s editorial team. Representatives of the Publishers Association of the UK, the British Library, the British Museum, Macmillan, Hachette, Taylor & Francis, Bloomsbury, and other publishing organizations met with the editors to discuss how publishers can respond to the evolving international economic situation, explore new directions for industry development, and adapt to changing times, while seeking new ways to better serve authors and readers.

Through the program, they gained a systematic understanding of the UK publishing industry and conducted research on publishing companies and the book trade, while engaging in in-depth exchanges with their UK counterparts on editorial and publishing practices and market trends. The program laid a solid foundation for strengthening cooperation between Chinese and foreign publishing companies and promoting the joint development of the cultural industries.
