China Publishing Group Participates in the 2025 Shanghai Book Fair

From August 13 to 19, 2025, the 2025 Shanghai Book Fair and the “Reading China” Shanghai Week were held at the Shanghai Exhibition Center. Zhao Jiaming, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and Head of its Publicity Department, and Liu Hongbing, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and Head of its Publicity Department, visited the China Publishing Group exhibition area. Chang Bo, President of China Publishing Group Co., Ltd., and Zang Yongqing, Vice President of China Publishing & Media Holdings Co., Ltd., also attended the book fair.

China Publishing Group brought together 23 of its publishing brands, including People’s Literature Publishing House, The Commercial Press, Zhonghua Book Company, and SDX Joint Publishing Company. The Group showcased more than 4,000 titles and more than 50,000 copies of quality books, along with nearly 70 cultural and reading events for readers in Shanghai.

The books on display covered a wide range of genres and subjects. Major themed publications included Revitalization Library (I–III), Encyclopedia of China (Third Edition), and the Studies on the Great Founding Spirit of the CPC Series. New and notable titles included To the Mountains We Belong, One-Day Celebrity, The Wind Knows My Name, Kang Zhen’s Poetry Class: 12 Lectures on Su Shi, May I Find Someone Who Truly Loves Me: Yang Yu on Classical Chinese Poetry, My Cat Hates Me 9, Dictionary of Classical Chinese (3rd Edition), Oxford Intermediate Learner’s English-Chinese Dictionary (6th Edition), the revised and collated edition of History of the Southern Dynasties (Paperback), part of the Twenty-Four Histories, Romance of the Three Kingdoms (Seven-Color Annotated Edition), The Many Lives: The Biographies in the Records of the Grand Historian, Confucius’ Quotations, The Evolution of Literary Traditions: Lectures on the History of Ancient Chinese Literature, Records of War in the Northern and Southern Song Dynasties, Global China: An Interdisciplinary Exploration of Area Studies, and “Tsai Chih Chung Comics of Classics for Pre-school Education” Series: Essential Chinese Idioms (3 vols.). To commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the Group also presented a selection of related titles, including Victory and Peace: 80th Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War (A Collection of Picture Stories), Unit 731: The Fall of Medicine, The Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, China Before the July 7th Incident (1931–1937), and National Mourning.
