Thea Lu is an illustrator as well as a children’s picture book author. After earning a master’s degree in Children’s Book Illustration at the Cambridge School of Art in 2021, she leveraged her earlier background in product design and design strategy from Tsinghua University to excel in crafting conceptually rich picture books across genres, including non-fiction and interactive formats. Thea’s talent has garnered recognition from both industry professionals and young readers around the world, with her illustrations for Here, There being shortlisted for the esteemed Golden Pinwheel Young Illustrators Competition in 2023 and her work consistently gracing the exhibitions of “The Children-Spectators” in Bologna. Beyond the realm of picture books, Thea extends her creative talents to crafting captivating experiences, particularly tailored for children, in her role as an accomplished designer.
