Yin Jianling, a best-selling author of books for children and young adults, is a member of the Shanghai Writers Association and chief editor of Xinmin Evening News (a Shanghai newspaper). She has published novels like Ya-Mark-Po and Ann, as well as proses such as Love—My Grandmother and Me. Many of her works have been translated into Swedish, English, Japanese, French, Spanish, Korean and other languages. She has won many awards for children’s literature, including Chen Bochui Children’s Literature Award, Bing Xin Children’s Literature Award and Taiwan “Books We Read” Best Children’s Book Award, and was nominated for the 2013 and 2014 Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award.
