Introduction

This book focuses on three representative calligraphers, Shen Zengzhi, Wang Quchang, and Zhu Fukan, who lived during the period from the late Qing dynasty to the end of the 1980s. The book offers a glimpse into the social life of calligraphers in the late Qing Dynasty and analyzes their poems, essays, and calligraphy. Works by Wang and Zhu were greatly influenced by Shen.
