Singing and Playing: Songs for Children is a singing textbook for college students majoring in pre-school education and nursery school teachers. Based on the Learning and Development Guideline for Children Aged 3 to 6 released by China’s Ministry of Education and related theories about children’s choir teaching, this book elaborates on the theories and practices about children singing and playing in a well-rounded, systematic and detailed manner. Teaching cases and materials in the book are good models that are easy to practice. The book converts traditional singing activities into games for children with detailed guidelines and includes original cases and newly-created children’s songs in the past two years.
