Introduction

The book focuses on the translations of Chinese literature and eight representative Chinese and foreign translators. The eight translators include British sinologists Harold Acton and David Hawkes, the American sinologist John Balcom, New Zealand expert Rewi Alley, Chinese translators Lin Yutang, Xiong Shiyi, Eileen Chang and Eva Hung.
