This is a picture book full of philosophical thoughts and wild imagination. Mr. Jin Bo depicts a little girl with fantastic ideas and uses the most poetic and catchy words she can think of to convey them. Pretending to be lost, the girl sets out on a journey alone to explore the amazing world. Shrouded in immeasurable amounts of care and love along the journey, she finally comes to know just how happily and lucky she is as a kid. The Chinese-British artist Yu Rong spent four years illustrating this book. With a creative “book contained within a book” formatting, modern visual language combines paper cutting, drawing, and the unique orthographic structure of Chinese characters are drawn upon to present the story in a brilliant fashion, forming a wonderful trio consisting of literature, art, and Chinese characters.
