The Civilization of China and the Civilizations of the World is the second volume in the Dialogue of Civilizations series, following Our View of Civilization. The “dialogue of civilizations” is both a concept and an ideal. Through the practice of the dialogue of civilizations and systematic analysis of humanity’s rich history of intercultural interaction, we hope the dialogue of civilizations will gradually develop from a self-contained state of practice into a comprehensive and conscious spiritual phenomenon. The series aims to promote Chinese culture and facilitate its global outreach.
