Introduction
This book highlights that Chinese philosophy is distinct from Western philosophy, which originates from and develops under a different context. Its distinctiveness lies in its pursuit of “goodness” and moral cultivation, and its form that differs from Western philosophy, especially that of Hegel. On this basis, this book adopts a comparative philosophy perspective to analyze the characteristics of Chinese and Western philosophies in terms of ways of thinking and narrative structures, involving topics such as Neo-Confucianism, epistemology, metaphilosophy, and the modernization of Chinese philosophy. It aims to compare the similarities and differences with those of Western philosophies through a thorough analysis of Chinese philosophy, and to explore the possible paths for the further development of Chinese philosophy, therefore transforming the ineffable into the expressible, and articulating clearly what can be expressed.
