The year 2024 marks the 90th anniversary of the birth of Mr. Yang Hongnian. To commemorate his artistic achievements, we have planned the “Yang Hongnian Teaching and Artistic Series”, which includes three publications: 1) a collection seven outstanding choral works compiled by Mr. Yang, which have been performed but never published; 2) Selected Works of the Beijing Philharmonic Choir (two volumes, presented in both staff notation and numbered notation), which includes a selection of 58 pieces from the seven volumes of the Chinese and Foreign Children’s Choir Masterpieces series previously published by our press; and 3) Yang Hongnian’s Music Teaching Manuscripts (volume V & VI), which is a collection of Mr. Yang’s teaching and composition manuscripts from the 1950s to the present. Other educational achievements by Mr. Yang will be further selected and planned for future publication.
