12 Concert Etudes was composed by Mr. Chu Wanghua in 2023. Each etude focuses on different technical aspects while expressing unique musical imagery and color, blending playability, listenability, and teachability. As the latest representative work of Mr. Chu, this collection showcases his six-decade pursuit, exploration, and accumulation of Chinese-style expression and personalized musical language. From both performance and compositional perspectives, this set of works is a valuable addition to Chinese piano music repertoire.
