This book brings together 45 outstanding choral works on classic Chinese poetry, composed by the author since the 1990s. The repertoire is divided into two parts: for mixed choir and for children’s choir. These works were first recorded on tapes such as New Singings of Tang Poetry, Song Ci, and Yuan Qu and Children Singing Ancient Poems (China Youth Audio & Visual Publishing House). It has also been featured in several New Rhythms of Ancient Poetry choral concerts. Over three decades, the author composed over a hundred classical poetry songs. These works have been performed in numerous special concerts by the China National Chorus, the China National Opera House Chorus, the China Broadcasting Chorus, and the Jiangxi University of Science and Technology Choir, receiving enthusiastic responses and widespread popularity, and thus creating significant social impact. With beautiful melodies, diverse styles, and unique techniques, these choral works are catchy, easy to sing and remember, and easily disseminated.
