Sun Xiguo

Sun Xiguo works at Peking University as the professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Marxism, the executive deputy president of the Institute of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and chairman of the sub-committee on Marxism disciplines of the Academic Degree Committee. He is an outstanding teacher supported by China’s Ten Thousand Talent Program. He also serves as the chief expert for the National Project to Study and Develop Marxist Theory, member of the Marxism Discipline Review Group of the State Council Academic Degree Committee, and deputy director of the National Advisory Committee for Marxist Theory Education under the Ministry of Education. He has published over a hundred academic papers in publications such as Philosophical Research, as well as monographs such as The Connotation of Pre-Qin Philosophy and Research on Frontier Issues of Marxist Basic Principles (first author). He is the editor-in-chief of textbooks for philosophy majors and students in senior high school, which won him the first prize in the First National Excellent Textbooks Award.
