This book derives from the documentary film The Kite on the production of The Magic of the Kite, the first China-France co-produced film as well as the first Chinese children's color film after the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949. Focusing on the reunion of the three little actors starring The Magic of the Kite, the documentary celebrates the friendship between Chinese and French people through films.
