2021 Book Fair: A Reading Feast That CPG Creates for All

From March 31 to April 2, the 34th Beijing Book Fair, with a theme of “Miracle of Poverty Alleviation at 100th Anniversary of CPC; High-quality Publishing Based on Cultural Confidence”, was held in China International Exhibition Center (Jingan Zhuang Pavilion). Twenty five affiliated publishing houses and companies of CPG took part in this Fair, including People’s Literature Publishing House, the Commercial Press, Zhonghua Book Company, Encyclopedia of China Publishing House, China Fine Arts Publishing Group, People’s Music Publishing House and SDX Joint Publishing, together with Xinhua Bookstore Head Office, China National Publication Import and Export (Group) Corporation (CNPIEC) and Rong Bao Zhai, etc., presenting readers with more than 2000 kinds of products and more than 30 reading promotion activities.

Additionally, CPG organized two industrial brand activities. One is China Library and Publishing House Forum, the bellwether for library book supply service of the country. As an important platform to discuss and share information for Beijing Book Fair and the library book supply industry of China, this forum focused on “Resource Construction and Industry Transition in the Post-Epidemic Era”, and strove to promote the industrial communication of library circle, publishing circle as well as distribution circle to motivate sustainable development of the industry. The other is the China Publishing Forum. This forum and China Publishing Development Seminar merged into one for the first time and was held both online and offline. With the focus on “Arranging High-quality Publishing for the 14th Five-Year Plan; Creating ‘Three New’ Mode for Nationwide Reading”, the participants of the forum addressed concerns of the industry and exchanged experience. At the forum, the annual publishing data were released.
