Publishing Symposium was held in Beijing

Chinese Documents Unearthed in Xinjiang in Lvshun Museum

OnDecember 20,2020, the “Chinese Documents Unearthed in Xinjiang from LvshunMuseum” Publishing Symposium jointly sponsored by Zhonghua Book Company, LvshunMuseum, Peking University Chinese Ancient History Research Center, and RenminUniversity of China History Institute was held in Beijing.

He Rui, deputy director of the Planning and Management Officeof the National Publishing Fund, Li Yan, member of the Party Committee of ChinaPublishing Group Corporation, director and general manager of China Publishingand Media Co., Ltd., and leaders of the Dalian Municipal Party CommitteePropaganda Department and Dalian Public Cultural Service Center attended themeeting and delivered speeches. Xu Jun, Executive Director of Zhonghua BookCompany presided the meeting.

“Chinese Documents Unearthed in Xinjiang from LvshunMuseum” included the Chinese Documents unearthed in Xinjiang and collectedin Lvshun Museum, which is 26,000 fragments in total. It is currently the onlyunreleased large collection of Dunhuang and Turfan, called the “last treasureof Dunhuang and Turfan Documents”. The team, headed by Wang Zhenfen, Directorof Lvshun Museum, Professor Meng Xianshi of Renmin University of China, andProfessor Rong Xinjiang of Peking University, and formed by scientistresearchers, teachers and students from Lvshun Museum, Peking University,Renmin University of China, Capital Normal University, Chinese Academy ofSocial Sciences and other units took six years to comprehensively sort outthese precious materials. The project was supported by the National Publishing Fundin 2018 and was finally officially published by Zhonghua Book Company in recentdays.
